During times like these it’s important to love each other and love each other well. And there’s no better way to share the love than with some homemade chocolate chip cookies. Try out Mallory’s easy recipe and then package up a few cookies (after taste-testing them of course) to share with family and friends!

Mallory’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

· 8 tablespoons of salted butter
· 1/2 cup white sugar
· 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
· 1 teaspoon vanilla
· 1 egg
· 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
· 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
· 1/4 teaspoon salt
· 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350.

Melt the butter but do not get it too hot! Make sure to let it cool a bit once melted.
Blend sugars, vanilla and butter.

Add egg.

Add dry ingredients – flour, baking soda and salt. Once combined, add chips.

Makes 12 large cookies! Cook for 10-12 minutes until just lightly brown (under baking is key for continuously fresh cookies).
