Schools – The Lord Is With Us
The Lord is with us.
The first chapter of Matthew, 1:23, predicts the birth of Jesus: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).
In the last chapter of Matthew, 28:20, Jesus says just before he returns to heaven: “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
- The name given to Jesus means “God with us.” That defined his purpose. That is how much God cares for us!
- Jesus came to be with us on earth and experience every joy and care and pain that we experience. We can trust that he knows what we’re going through and can guide our path forward!
- Even though Jesus returned to heaven, he is with us now and always, as promised, through the Holy Spirit. We are not alone!
